Mandarin lesson- Week 6
In mandarin today we created a piece of artwork on rice paper using black ink. It did kind of get really messy but that was the fun part! We had to paint out a step by step panda with black ink which is actually harder than it seems! I think that my panda actually turned out great for my first time doing that sort of art style. The hardest part of the artwork for me would definately have to be painting out the chinese characters! Thanks Tracy.
Passion Project Reflection
I felt that my passion project presentation went really well. I know that I need to work on speaking more fluently and slowly. So I will definitely work on that for the next presentation I do. I also need to make sure I double check all of my answers to my questions twice! Over all I feel I did a really great job and hope I will be better next time!
The Big Think- Room 10
In room 10 our focus for maths has been fination literacy. We had to complete this task within our budget of $10000. I did all of the the tasks and finished within the budget with $988.5 left over. Over all I am really proud of my achievement and hope you enjoy looking at my slide.

Adding Detail
In room 10 we have been doing adding detail in the morning before we do literacy. I really think this has helped improve my skill of adding detail. I think slide 8 was my best slide.

Narrative Short Stories- The Girl With The Black Eyes
In room 10 we have been doing short stories. I decided to name mine 'The Girl With The Black Eyes.' My main character is Midnight.
She was alone in the world, adopted and had no friends. Then a visitor shows up. She is nicknamed 'the death Curse' and carries a heavy burden. The girl with the black eyes.
Passion project
For my passion project I decided to do Kate Morgan. I am going to present a speech and then after if we have time I will get the class to play a quiz kahoot on her.

Duane Kale
Last Friday we had an amazing guest speaker come in and inspire us with his story. The message he sent me was to "Aspire to achieve and don't give up" I am so grateful that he came in to talk to us because I learnt so much from his talk. His name is Duane Kale. Duane Kale was an amazing athlete when he was younger but he was involved in an unfortunate accident. He then became paralyzed from his waist down but still manages to pursue his dream, swimming. I was so inspired by Duane's talk and I hope that others were to.
Here are some photos of his visit.
