Feedback

This week in room 10 we have been looking at feedback and feed forwards. We practiced this on Adam's Kate Sheppard poster! I think Adam got some good feedback and feed forwards! Feedback is saying what we liked about Adam's poster and feed forwards is saying what we think he could do/improve on in the future.

Learners License

In room 10 we have been doing learners license. Green is the best one to be on. In green you don't have to ask to work outside, but if you are caught mucking around Miss O'B will move you down to orange. not everyone started on the same one some started on green while others started on orange (we got to choose where we started) red is the worst one to be on but it isn't bad to be on red it just means that you are working towards being an active learner. The lower you are the more advantages you have! I am on green which one would you be on?

Swimming Sports

Today we had swimming sports an as you can see we all got dressed in red Sheppard's house colour, some people went a bit crazy with the Sheppard house spirit!!
Sheppard came in 4th place over all (last place), but that's ok because we will win the next competition!! Do you think our class has a Sheppard spirit?

Sheppard chant girls

In our class we did a girl vs boys battle with the chant our class chose to represent to the rest of Sheppard house. Here is a video of the winning group's chant, as you can see girls won!!! After this we had to teach the boys the actions so that we could show the rest of Sheppard house our chant, unfortunately our chant wasn't chosen but we did combine loads of different chants together.

Savannah's Self Portrait

Room 10 Self Portraits 2017

We used an art technique called cross-hatching to create our self portrait this year. This technique creates more of a 3d effect which is what we were wanting rather than just colouring ourselves in. Miss O'B had an A3 black and white photo of us. First we had to colour our pupil, iris and cornea with appropriate colours. We then used 'people crayons' which are made with skin tone colours. Using the two closest colours to our skin tone, we cross hatched our face starting at our forehead and moving down to our neck. The hardest part was our nose.  We then coloured our hair, completed our school uniform and blocked out the background in a vibrant pastel colour so our faces stood out. So what do you think of my self portrait?

What Are Room 10's Super Powers.

This week we were challenged to think about how we could be a helpful citizen in Room 10 and what super powers we could use? If we are going to have a fantastic year, it is crucial we help each other out in times of need, when asked and by using our initiative. Here is a photo of our faces transformed into Super Hero's and a speech bubble with our thinking. On the speech bubble we have identified one super power we are already good at using and another one we want to get better at using. My super powers are To make people laugh and get better at using technology.
